
2024
Kathryn released her fourth album, “Anatomy of the Recovering Brain”, composed by Frank Horvat. She also performed excerpts of the piece at Brock University, led the outdoor performance piece, “Creek”, for 16 musicians at the Open Ears Festival of Music and Sound, and continued to perform shows with Guelph singer/songwriter, Nick Zubeck.
2023
Kathryn premiered “Anatomy of the Recovering Brain”, a 60-minute work for solo bass clarinet, fixed electronics, and instrumental cameos, composed by Frank Horvat. The piece was created specifically for Kathryn to raise awareness of the mental health impacts of living with a brain injury. The piece tells the stories of 6 survivors, including Kathryn.
2022
Kathryn performed in a number of new collaborative projects such as “There Lies the Road” with Kite, presented at the Open Ears Festival of Music and Sound, and Uptown Waterloo’s innovative outdoor “Lumen” festival.
2021
Kathryn appeared on three different album releases in 2021: “Riverchants” by the Silence Collective, “Music for Self Isolation” by Frank Horvat, and “Project Dovetail” by Frank Horvat. She also appeared in the online concert, “Premieres” presented by NUMUS where she presented a series of world premieres for bass clarinet solo.
2020
Kathryn did a short Southern Ontario tour at the start of the year in support of her new album, "Masked", with stops in Kitchener, Toronto, and Oakville. She also recorded the piece "Alchemist's Brew" for the album “Project Dovetail” by Frank Horvat.
2019
