2019
Kathryn released her second solo album, “Masked” in both CD and vinyl formats. Check out the “music” page for samples and “store” page on where it can be purchased.

2018
Kathryn successfully completed her PhD at York University. Her dissertation, titled “The Improvising Musician’s Mask: Using Musical Instruments to Build Self-Confidence and Social Skills in Collective Free Improvisation” was nominated for a university-wide dissertation prize.

2017
Kathryn was awarded a Region of Waterloo Arts Fund grant to collaborate with visual artist Isabella Stefanescu and percussionist Dave Klassen on a new project for bass clarinet, percussion, and euphonopen called, “Learning to See”. Learn more about the Region of Waterloo Arts Fund here.

2016
Kathryn wins the Cook Homes Music Award at the Waterloo Region Arts Awards!

Kathryn brought the International Society for Improvised Music conference to Canada for the first time!

2015
Kathryn toured as a soloist across Canada in May and June, 2015 as part of The Circuit touring network for improvising musicians.

Kathryn’s debut CD with her bass clarinet/percussion duo, “Stealth”, was released in July, 2015. The album is titled “…Listen” and is currently available on iTunes and CD Baby.

2014
Kathryn has been appointed Artistic Director of NUMUS Concerts – one of Canada’s foremost presenters and producers of new music.
